Media

Media uploads are disabled for visitors. If you upload to this website, or share data images with the author of this website, you should avoid providing images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

This site uses cookies – small text files that are placed on your machine to help the site provide a better user experience. In general, cookies are used to retain user preferences, store information for things like shopping carts, and provide anonymised tracking data to third party applications like Google Analytics. As a rule, cookies will make your browsing experience better. However, you may prefer to disable cookies on this site and on others. The most effective way to do this is to disable cookies in your browser. We suggest consulting the Help section of your browser or taking a look at the About Cookies website which offers guidance for all modern browsers.

Contact Form

There is a contact form embedded within the “About” page on this site as well as on this page below. This form allows comments, queries and feedback to be directed to the owner via a private email account. The form mandates that a name and an email address are supplied before the form can be submitted, this is to enable an acknowledgement of the correspondence and / or a reply to be sent by the owner. This personal data is stored in the owner's personal email account to process the information contained within it and can not be submitted without the explicit consent of the individual completing the form.

Embedded Content

Articles and sidebars on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

WordPress.com Stats

Data Used: IP address, WordPress.com user ID (if logged in), WordPress.com username (if logged in), user agent, visiting URL, referring URL, the timestamp of an event, browser language, country code. Important: The site owner does not have access to any of this information via this feature. For example, a site owner can see that a specific post has 285 views, but he/she cannot see which specific users/accounts viewed that post. Stats logs — containing visitor IP addresses and WordPress.com usernames (if available) — are retained by Automattic for 28 days and are used for the sole purpose of powering this feature.

Activity Tracked: Post and page views, video plays (if videos are hosted by WordPress.com), outbound link clicks, referring URLs and search engine terms and country. When this module is enabled, Jetpack also tracks performance on each page load that includes the Javascript file used for tracking stats. This is exclusively for aggregate performance tracking across Jetpack sites in order to make sure that our plugin and code is not causing performance issues. This includes the tracking of page load times and resource loading duration (image files, Javascript files, CSS files, etc.). The site owner has the ability to force this feature to honor DNT settings of visitors. By default, DNT is currently not honored.

Google Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics to record visitor statistics. The provision of such statistics are usually a condition of receiving revenue from advertisers (see below), which is why they are collected. With regards to Google specifically, you should familiarise yourself with Google's Analytics Privacy Policy.

This site does not send any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) to Google Analytics and IP addresses (where you have connected from) are anonymised and are not recorded. This site complies with any Do Not Track (DNT) browser settings. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the link at the bottom of the side bar, or you can also opt out of Google Analytics tracking using this browser plugin.

Advertisements

Advertisements may be displayed on michaelpoore.com from time to time. Any such advertisements are paid for in full by the respective advertisers. Some of these advertisements may contain a tracking code used by the advertiser to determine from which site advertisement traffic originated. No Personally Identifiable Information is sent to any advertiser.

Data Retention

You have the right to know how long we retain your data, and we cannot hold your data indefinitely. We do not retain any Personally Identifiable Information (PII) on this site. Any personal information supplied within a contact form will be retained for as long as is required to process and action any information or feedback it contains. The maximum period for retention of contact form information will be six (6) weeks.

Data Rights

You have the right to receive a copy of any data we hold on you. Because we deliberately are not recording any of your data, that export would be empty unless one of the contact forms has been used.
